Man charged with manslaughter as police officially name Cleethorpes victim

Three people have been released.

A Grimsby man has been charged with manslaughter after a man died outside a bar in Cleethorpes.

Paul Taylor, 27, of Hoyloake Road, has remanded in custody to appear in court on Tuesday, September 5, in connection with the incident outside The Studio bar.

Humberside Police have released two people arrested on suspicion of affray under investigation.

A woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been unconditionally released.

Mike Hawkins has been named as the man who died outside The Studio bar in Cleethorpes

In a statement, Humberside Police confirmed that 58-year-old man Michael Hawkins, of Cleethorpes, was the victim.

A police spokesperson said: “Our investigation is continuing and if anyone witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to us please call the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 369 of September 3.”
