Man found with drugs in Sleaford after stop and search to be deported

Two men were prosecuted.

A man caught in possession of a class A drug following a stop and search is set to be deported.

Police discovered the drugs on two men following what they have described as “a proactive street stop and search” on Grantham Road in Sleaford at the weekend.

Both men were prosecuted and one was passed to the UK Border Agency for deportation.

Sleaford town councillor Stephanie Dale applauded the actions of the officers involved.

She said: “Brilliant news! This clearly shoes a great proactive approach from our police force!”

Sharon Broadwood added: “Need to be more searches all over the country. Am afraid also needs to be more manpower available to do these searches.

“Well done Lincolnshire Police.”
