‘You were always so happy’: Tributes to young man killed in A46 Newark crash

Tributes have been left on social media.

An 18-year-old man who died at the scene of a crash on the A46 has been named locally as Lewis Harrison, with a number of tributes left on social media.

Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed that a blue Seat Ibiza travelling towards Newark left the dual carriageway between the Showground and Winthorpe Island at around 12.30am on Wednesday, September 27.

The southbound carriageway was closed for nearly seven hours while investigations were carried out.

A number of tributes were left on Facebook to Lewis.

Shannon Dow, who posted a picture of Lewis on Facebook, said: “I’m completely broken, I honestly don’t know what to say or think. Taken too young.

“You were always so happy, always smiling, never a day went by where that smile was not on your face!”

Alicia Mackintosh said: “Such a lovely kind hearted person.”

Amy Matthews said: “A sad day for many today. RIP Lewis Harrison thoughts are with all your family and friends.”
