Five weeks of roadworks for new bus stops and footpath widening on A52 in Ingoldmells

The works are part of the £5.7 million Go Skegness project.

Five weeks of roadworks will be taking place in the run up to the Christmas period outside the Beacon Medical Practice in Ingoldmells for footpath widening and the creation of two new bus stops.

The existing footpath on the A52 will be reconstructed from Monday, November 13, allowing space for bus stops on the north and south side of the road.

Temporary traffic signals will be in place near the worksite Monday to Friday from November 20.

The signals will be used between 7am and 5pm.

In addition, a 30 mph speed limit will be in place along the A52 near the worksite for the duration of the works, including weekends.

Access to the medical practice and pharmacy will be maintained at all times.

The works are part of the £5.7 million Go Skegness project.

Councillor Richard Davies, responsible for highways and transport at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “The new bus stops and improved footway are being put in place to serve the wider community.

“Our hope is that, once the works are complete, more people that use the medical practice will leave their cars at home and walk, cycle or take a bus to see their GP instead.”
