Woman sexually assaulted as she tried to help fallen man in Grimsby

He chased and groped her after she stopped to help him.

A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man she had tried to help after he fell over in Grimsby.

The fallen man had reportedly asked for the victim’s assistance on Orwell Street at around 8.30pm on Friday, February 24.

As she did, he made a sexual gesture, police said.

The victim ran away towards Cleethorpes Road, but the man reportedly chased and touched her inappropriately.

The suspect has been described as olive-skinned, aged between 30 and 40, around five foot nine.

He was wearing a black Adidas jacket, black jeans and brown boots and the victim reported that the man didn’t speak English very fluently.

The suspect also had a cut on his left eyebrow.
