Lincoln Walkabout attacker leaves victim with broken jaw

A man’s jaw was broken in two places when he was punched by an unknown attacker in the Lincoln Walkabout bar.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault on Sunday, February 25 between 1.15am and 1.30am at the High Street bar.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was said to have been sat on his own when a woman asked if he had seen her jacket on the seating.

While speaking with the woman he was punched in the jaw.

A police spokesperson said: “The victim was wearing a blue and white striped shirt, blue jeans and a black jacket and suffered a broken jaw in two places.

“There was a man who pointed the believed attacker out to the victim, but we do not know who this is.

“We would like to hear from this man and anyone else who saw what happened.”
