Yoga retreat with glamping domes planned near Lincoln

An idilic yoga retreat complete with glamping pods and a dining dome will be built on the edge of Lincoln if plans are approved.

Proposals have been submitted to North Kesteven District Council by J M Hounsfield & Son for land at Chestnut Tree Farm, Wellingore, off Pottergate Road.

Eight glamping-style domes, a yoga dome, dining dome and a 16-space car park are included in the plans.

Designs for the glamping pods on the site.

The Purusha Yoga Retreats resort would offer customers a full retreat schedule, typically consisting of three yoga sessions a day and other workshops.

Treatments and workshops would include:

  • Mindfulness
  • Mantra
  • Meditation
  • Guided nature walks
  • Introduction to sustainable farming
  • Massage

Visitors would also have free time to explore the farm and local area, relax in their own wood burning hot tub, and socialise with others in a central yoga dome.

If approved, the scheme would create three part-time jobs and secure two existing jobs at the farm.  Proposals will be discussed at a planning committee meeting at North Kesteven District Council at a later date.
