Young girl suffers serious head injury in car and pedestrian crash near Louth

The road has been closed.

An 11-year-old girl remains in a serious condition with a head injury at Queens Medical Centre after a collision between a Land Rover and a pedestrian at Manby Middlegate near Louth.

The injured girl was treated and airlifted to the Nottingham hospital after the crash at the junction with Carlton Road just after 8am on Tuesday, March 6.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw a white Land Rover Discovery travelling in Manby towards Saltfleetby at around 8am near to the crossroad junction.

Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance arrived on the scene in just 11 minutes.

The B1200 Manby Middlegate was closed until around 12.45pm.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call 101 quoting incident 52 of March 6.
