Enough is enough: Cleethorpes lay-by a fly tipping breeding ground

If you see anyone fly-tipping report it to the council

A central Cleethorpes lay-by has become a fly-tipping grot spot, leaving the local council with a huge clearing task.

North East Lincolnshire Council is investigating continued rubbish dumps and is appealing to locals to report illegal activity.

The council commenced the work on Thursday, April 19 in the Hewitt’s Circus retail park area of Cleethorpes.

The site will be secured with fixed barriers to prevent unauthorised vehicle access and future instances of fly-tipping.

A spokesperson for North East Lincolnshire Council said: “We would again appeal to the public not to fly-tip waste and for people who see it being done to get in touch with us about registrations numbers or details of vehicles being used for dumping waste illegally.

“The Community Recycling Centres at Grimsby and Immingham are there for you to use.”

Anyone with any information about fly-tipping should report it here or by calling 01472 326300.
