Lincoln artist auctions off Cowley brothers painting for charity

An artistic dedication to the Imps heroes.

A Lincoln-based artist, photographer and illustrator is auctioning off a painting of Lincoln City’s management duo Danny and Nicky Cowley for charity.

Andrew Bailie, who has lived in Lincoln for nearly 10 years, aims to conduct the sale via an eBay auction in the coming weeks and will post updates here.

The 33-year-old hopes his Art Attack-like new Youtube vlog on The Spire Gallery YouTube Channel will get people involved in art.

Episode One of his new vlog is entitled ‘The Road To Wembley – Lincoln City FC’ and shows him creating the picture of the brothers.

Andrew will split the money between Lincoln City Football Club’s four charity partners – LCFC SET, Lincs2Nepal, St Barnabas Lincoln Hospice and PCUK – so long as the final figure allows this.

He told The Lincolnite: “It was only fitting to dedicate the first episode to the Imps due to their success over the last couple of years and how Danny and Nicky have driven that, which in turn has really increased the love the city has for the team.

“A portrait felt like a lovely gesture (who knows, it would be great if it found a home at Sincil Bank) and due to possible local interest in a piece such as this, I’m hoping a little bit of that love can be directed to helping the charities that the club supports.”
