Bike shop opens at Lincoln train station

Lincoln cycling just got better.

Bike shop Giant, part of the Doddington Hall estate, is riding into the heart of the Lincoln with a new store next to the city’s train station.

Giant Lincoln Station will offer commuters the opportunity to rent bikes, have their bikes serviced whilst at work or purchase a new bike of their own.

The store will officially open on Saturday, May 26 and between 10am and 2pm, will be offering free safety checks to anyone who attends the grand opening.

Alongside the safety checks, Access Lincoln will be on hand with a map of the city and will be showing shoppers the very best places to cycle in Lincoln.

Mark Hollingworth, general manager of the sister Giant Store at Doddington, said: “We’re really excited about the opening of our new store in the Transport Hub. Since opening the store in Doddington in 2015, our aim has been to encourage more people to enjoy cycling. It’s all about having fun.

“Cycling is for everybody; whatever their abilities. When we first opened the store at Doddington, we wanted it to be a social hub; a place where people could come along, find out about cycling and get involved.

“We hope that people will visit Giant Lincoln Station and will like the idea of hiring a bike and giving it a go.”
