Suspected cat poisoning in Lincoln

The cat was put down

A cat has been put down after a case of suspected poisoning in the Brant Road area of Lincoln.

The male cat was poisoned in the area of Lisburn Close on Thursday May 17.

A woman then took the pet to the vets, where it was confirmed the cat had been poisoned, but Lincolnshire Police said there is no evidence of anything malicious.

Police are advising people to check their gardens and outbuildings for anything suspicious and leaflets have been given out in the Brant Road area.

Household products can be harmful to a cat’s health and police are urging residents to remain vigilant and check for accidental spillages.

Anyone with any concerns should contact police on 101.
