Colourful quotes line Lincoln street

They have been put up by Mansions of the Future

A Lincoln city centre street has been decked out with quotes from visionary artists as part of a new art project.

They were pulled together by artist Bridget Smith, as part of the Mansions of the Future cultural programme.

The project is called “Now it is Permitted”.

It features over 70 different visionary statements from national and local artists, authors, musicians and filmmakers all the way along Sincil Street – next to the bus station.

“We are either creating pollution or being the solution,” reads the quote from Bonnie Wright – the Harry Potter star recently visited the city to promote her short film.

Other famous quotes include: “God the soul the mind will-understanding (love) (wisdom) bodily life actions effects,” which was penned by Lincolnshire born Alfred Lord Tennyson.

The Mansions of the Future arts and culture centre opened its doors in May and is set to hold more events later in the year.
