Arrest after man hit by car in Sleaford

The man has been released under investigation

A 23-year-old man from Sleaford has been arrested on three alleged charges including ‘failing to stop at the scene of an accident’ after a crash between a car and a pedestrian on Thursday.

The collision was reported to police at 4pm on Thursday, July 19 on Mareham Lane in Sleaford.

The male pedestrian was injured and received treatment and it is believed he was then airlifted to hospital.

The road re-opened at around 10pm.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “A Sleaford man, aged 23, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. The man has been released under investigation.”
