Man’s body found in Scunthorpe lake

The body of a man has been found in the water near steel works at the Ashby Ville Nature Reserve in Scunthorpe.

Police attended the scene after being called at 8.45am on Monday, July 23 by a member of the public reporting a body found in the water.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We are looking to establish the circumstances of how the man came to be in the water and to establish his identity.

“We attended and can confirm that a body has been found and has been recovered from the water.”
