Three lions, a donkey, a parrot and a tortoise

It isn’t just about the lions

The Three Lions may be getting most of the headlines, but other animals around the county are also catching World Cup fever.

A donkey, a parrot and even a tortoise are hoping ‘Football’s Coming Home’ as England prepares for a World Cup semi-final against Croatia on Wednesday.

Rand Farm Park in Rand near Lincoln welcomed its newest animal over the weekend – Harry the donkey.

Harry is named after England defender Harry Maguire, who scored England’s opening goal in the 2-0 win over Sweden in Saturday’s World Cup quarter final.

Although her predictions were incorrect, Psychic Shelly the tortoise from L.A Reptiles in Lincoln previously tried to predict some of England’s game during the World Cup.
