Work starts on takeover of BHS store

Walls have been erected at the site while work is underway

Construction work is underway at the former BHS store on Lincoln High Street, as Boots prepares to move into the unit this September.

The BHS store has been empty since the collapse of the company in 2016 and was previously on the market as two separate units.

Now, temporary walls have been erected and heavy machinery could be heard at the north entrance of the unit.

Currently there is no tenant lined up for the 11,436 square foot Boots High Street unit now being advertised on the market at £375,000 per annum with Savills.

As part of the move, doorways will be brought forward to prevent homeless people sleeping in the store’s entrance.
