First look: Lawson’s Bar & Bistro in Lincoln

Introducing a brand new Lincoln restaurant

There’s a new restaurant in town serving classic bistro dining.

The Lincolnite visited Lawson’s Bar & Bistro when doors officially opened.

Stacey Lawson, 31, and Paul Fields, 39, took inspiration from traditional French and Italian bistros for their first restaurant in the city.

The pair took over the former Meat Inc. and Ribs ‘n’ Bibs restaurant at the bottom of Steep Hill before giving it a complete makeover.

Along with family, friends and a team of 11 new members of staff, the couple opened their 50-seater restaurant for the first time this week.

A casual bar area is on the ground floor, while upstairs there is a full à la carte restaurant and a beer garden outside with a view of the cathedral.
