Armed police arrest two after man threatened with gun in Lincoln

Two men have been arrested in connection with gun threats after an armed police raid in the Brant Road area of Lincoln.

As previously reported, armed police, dogs and several officers were seen at on Parker Avenue during the afternoon of Thursday, September 27.

An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, previously told The Lincolnite that Parker Avenue had been closed off.

They said officers appeared to have gathered near a garden fence in a stand-off and were reportedly heard shouting “get down on the floor”.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We received a call at 1.21pm today (September 27) that a male had been threatened with a firearm.

“Firearms officers attended Parker Avenue, Lincoln. Two males were arrested in connection with possession of a firearm.

“There are no other offenders outstanding and there is no threat to the public. The firearm has been recovered.

“Officers will be carrying out follow-up enquiries in the area.

“Anyone with information, or who has dashcam footage, should contact Lincolnshire Police quoting Incident 203 of September 27.”
