Drugs and weapons seized in Scunthorpe raid

Stolen property, paraphernalia and cash were also found

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after suspected stolen property, drugs, weapons and cash were seized during a raid in Scunthorpe this morning.

The arrest was made as a result of a drugs warrant carried out by Humberside Police in King Edward Street, Scunthorpe during the morning of Tuesday, October 23.

Sergeant Will Harrison said: “As a result of the warrant this morning we have recovered what we suspect to be stolen property, drugs paraphernalia, weapons and cash.

“The man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering, being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and handling stolen goods and he remains in our custody, helping us with our enquiries.

“We know the harm that drug-related crime causes – often to the most vulnerable in our communities. That’s why tackling the issue and prosecuting those involved is such a high priority for us.

“To help us keep doing this, your information is vital. You know your area and you know when something’s not right.

“You’re great at letting us know when that’s the case and I want to appeal to you to keep this information coming.

“It’s by putting this together with what our officers see and hear our on the streets that we’re able to successfully target those who bring drugs into our communities and bring them to justice.”
