“You are invited to join Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May during filming inside one of the country’s most beautiful cathedrals.
“As the conclusion to an emotional tribute film for the new season of The Grand Tour, all audience will sing a hymn to celebrate the end of a piece of British motoring history.”
For the third season, the trio travelled to China, Mongolia and Detroit — and finally Lincoln.
The date for the Grand Tour’s return on Amazon Prime Video hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s likely to be similar to the last two seasons: the first started in mid-November, and season 2 began at the start of December.
Previously, Jeremy Clarkson and James May stopped in Lincoln in 2011 while filming an episode for series 17 of Top Gear.
In the episode, the pair tried to cross the country in the new Nissan Leaf and Peugeot iOn, two fully electric cars, but Clarkson ran out of battery and had to recharge at the University of Lincoln to a delighted crowd.
