Man in custody over threats to kill police officers

He will appear at Crown Court next month

A 20-year-old man from Spalding has been remanded in custody to appear at Lincoln Crown Court next month on several charges including alleged threats to kill police officers.

Thomas Parr was previously arrested and charged with the following before appearing at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Wednesday, October 17:

  • Common Assault
  • Assault occasioning Actual Bodily Harm
  •  Threatening Behaviour (Section 4 of the Public Order Act)
  •  Shop theft x 3
  • Possession of a bladed article
  • Threats to kill

After appearing at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court he was charged on all of the above, which have been committed to Lincoln Crown Court.

However, a charge for one offence was withdrawn – ‘sent by means of a public communications network a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent obscure or menacing character’.

He’s acused of actual bodily harm against Lauren Fiorellini-Bernadio, during which he made a threat to her to kill police officers.

He indicated a plea of not guilty to the actual bodily harm, but an indication of guilty for the shop thefts, common assault and threatening behaviour.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on the morning of November 19.

The actual bodily harm, possession of a bladed article and threats to kill charges were directed by the court for a trial by jury on the same date.
