Spalding man admits sexual offences against young girls

He admitted offences against two victims

A Spalding man has been warned that he faces jail after admitting offences involving two 15-year-old girls.

Neil Richard Amess, 34, of Gaunt Close, Spalding, pleaded guilty at Lincoln Crown Court to charges of sexual activity with a child, meeting a child following sexual grooming and sexual communication with a child involving one of the girls.

He also admitted a further charge of sexual communication with a second 15-year-old girl.

All four offences occurred during August 2017.

Judge Simon Hirst adjourned sentence to a later date and Amess was released on bail.

The judge told Amess: “I will allow you to remain on bail to put your affairs in order. You have pleaded guilty to serious offences. You will receive a significant prison sentence.”

Amess was placed on the sex offenders’ register and will be told what period of time this will be for when he is sentenced.
