School student airlifted to hospital after being hit by car

Police are appealing for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old student was hit by a car outside a Lincolnshire school.

Emergency services were called to Main Road, Welbourne outside William Robertson School at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, December 4.

The teen, who is from the local area, was hit by a black Mercedes C Class.

She was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of the school on the A607 and either saw the collision or saw the pedestrian or the black Mercedes before the collision to contact us via 101.”
