The final member from a fake police officer fraud gang which conned elderly and vulnerable victims out of thousands of pounds, has been jailed.
Neshar Ahmed, of East India Dock Road, London, pleaded guilty to acquiring criminal property. He was sentenced to two and a half years when appearing at Leeds Crown Court on January 23.
In total, nine defendants have been given jail terms, with a further one given a suspended sentence.
As previously reported, eight men were jailed for over 30 years after eight people across Lincolnshire were among 25 targeted across the country.
A total of £242,000 nationally and £40,000 locally was lost by victims.
The men were all part of an organised crime group based primarily in London, with eight previously sentenced in September 2018.
The offences took place between July 23 2014 and September 15 2015.
The investigation was conducted jointly by Lincolnshire Police and West Yorkshire Regional Organised Crime Unit.
