Police search for person in Spalding river

Someone was seen entering the water

A police diving team is searching a Spalding river after reports a person had entered the water.

Police were called to a concern for safety at Cradge Bank in Spalding at 10.50pm on Wednesday, January 9, but so far nobody has been found.

The search is ongoing at the time of writing.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We had reason to believe a person had entered the water.

“An underwater dive team and police officers have been searching the area but we have not located anyone. Searches are ongoing.”
