Rand Farm Park nursery plan given go-ahead

A unique farm-based nursery will be built in Lincolnshire

Plans to build a 90 space nursery at a well-known farm in Lincolnshire have been approved.

The proposals were submitted to West Lindsey District Council by Richard Waring to build the facility at Rand Farm Park in Market Rasen.

An existing farmhouse on the site will be converted to create the nursery.

Now, the council has given the go-ahead for the new facility.

Further plans also include outdoor play space at the site and classrooms would be arranged for babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children.

Meanwhile, opening hours of 7am until 7pm, Monday to Friday, have been proposed.

In their plans, the applicant said the proposal will help to build on education that is already provided at the farm.

The applicant said: “It provides an opportunity to introduce a unique farm-based nursery which would widen the choice of education within this part of Lincolnshire.

“It would meet both the overall need for this type of facility in the area, and a defined need from the surrounding resident and working population.”
