Man attacked with knife in Gainsborough

Police are looking for footage of the attack

A man in his 50s was injured in a knife attack at a house in the centre of Gainsborough.

The incident happened at 7.44am on Friday, February 8 at the doorway of a house on High Street.

Lincolnshire Police said the man’s injuries were not serious or life threatening.

Investigating officers have put out an appeal for anyone with footage that might be relevant to come forward.

This includes dash cam footage that captured the incident, or CCTV footage that may have captured the offender/s arriving, or leaving the scene.

Investigating Officer DS David Patten said, “We will not let this kind of act violence become something that is commonplace in Gainsborough.

“Our officers are dedicated and tenacious and will leave no stone unturned in finding the offender.

“If this is backed up by the community, by people coming to us with any piece of information they have, this will help make our job easier and quicker.”
