The Lincoln Dragon Boat Race will be back for a fourth year this summer. Organiser Ringrose Law wants more teams to start signing up to the oar-some event.
Preparations are already underway for the boat race taking place on the Brayford on Saturday, July 20. Team entry fee is £500.
The race involving 15 teams was won by Belton Construction. Belton Construction are the new event sponsors for 2019.
The 2018 event raised over £6,000 for three charities – LIVES, St Barnabas Hospice and the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
This year’s event will raise money for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and Nomad (part of YMCA Lincolnshire).
Organiser of the Lincoln Dragon Boat Race, Alex Bennett of Ringrose Law, said: “The event is such a fun day for all the teams and spectators. If you are looking for a new company challenge, a fundraising activity or just to try something different, then give it a go!
“Not only can we promise a full day of fun, but we will be helping raise money for two really important local charities in Lincolnshire and helping make a difference to our community.
“We are also delighted to have Belton Construction as Event Sponsors for 2019 and look forward to working closer together with them in making this year the biggest and best event yet!”
