Enter the dragon: Call for teams to enter Lincoln boat race

There is still plenty time to enter

The Lincoln Dragon Boat Race will be back for a fourth year this summer. Organiser Ringrose Law wants more teams to start signing up to the oar-some event.

Preparations are already underway for the boat race taking place on the Brayford on Saturday, July 20. Team entry fee is £500.

Hundreds of people gathered at the city’s Brayford Wharf to watch the third annual Lincoln Dragon Boat Race on July 21, 2018.

Belton Construction won the 2018 Lincoln Dragon Boat Race.

The race involving 15 teams was won by Belton Construction. Belton Construction are the new event sponsors for 2019.

The 2018 event raised over £6,000 for three charities – LIVES, St Barnabas Hospice and the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

This year’s event will raise money for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and Nomad (part of YMCA Lincolnshire).

Organiser of the Lincoln Dragon Boat Race, Alex Bennett of Ringrose Law, said: “The event is such a fun day for all the teams and spectators. If you are looking for a new company challenge, a fundraising activity or just to try something different, then give it a go!

“Not only can we promise a full day of fun, but we will be helping raise money for two really important local charities in Lincolnshire and helping make a difference to our community.
