A third teenager has died

A third teenager has died following a crash on Heath Lane near RAF Scampton on Monday, police confirmed.

The 17-year-old is one of three who lost their lives following the single vehicle collision at Welton Cliff at around 8pm on Monday, March 25.

He was taken to Queens Medical Centre where he was treated for severe injuries, but sadly died on Wednesday, March 27.

Two others who lost their lives in the crash have been named locally as 14-year-old Joby John and 17-year-old Ricky Sharp.

Officials have not yet named the third crash victim.

Three others were involved in the collision, but escaped with minor injuries.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “We are still appealing for information or witnesses to the collision on Heath Lane, Welton Cliff about 8pm on Monday 25 April.

“Anyone that saw a silver Vauxhall Astra in the area and hasn’t already contacted us please call on 101, incident 441 of 25 March refers.”

Flowers have been laid at the scene on Heath Lane as the community comes to terms with the loss of three young lives.

Vigils and balloon launches have also been held in Lincoln, as well as fundraising pages for the boys’ funerals.
