Five released on bail after suspected drug-linked death

They were arrested on manslaughter offences

Five people suspected of drug supply and ‘involuntary manslaughter’ in connection with a woman’s death in Grantham have been released on police bail.

As previously reported, paramedics called the police to Eton Street in the town at 3.28pm on Tuesday, April 29.

One woman was in cardiac arrest and was taken to Grantham Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Three men aged 43, 46 and 46 as well as two women aged 41 and 47 were all arrested on drug supply and manslaughter offences.

Now they have all been released on police bail while officers investigate.

Anyone with information is still being urged to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 263 of April 9.

It’s the second incident in less than a week where police have made drug related arrests in connection with a death in the county.

As reported at the time, police are investigating the death of 14-year-old Alex Buchan on Saturday morning in Holbeach. Two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of drug offences.
