More disruption as trains diverted away from Grantham

A broken down train is causing problems

A broken down train at Grantham is causing lots of disruption, with services cancelled or heavily delayed.

East Midlands Trains are currently unable to call at the station so have warned of delays up to 45 minutes.

All services are expected to get back on track by 2 pm on Thursday, July 11.

LNER customers are being advised to use the Great Northern and Thameslink services between Peterborough and London Kings Cross.

While East Midlands Trains customers are being told to use LNER services to travel between Grantham or Peterborough.

It comes after broken lines between Grantham and Peterborough meant that commuters were advised to delay trouble until today.

Anyone who experiences delays in getting to their destination could be entitled to compensation.
