Three arrested after armed police attend Ermine incident

Three arrested

Three men have been arrested after armed police attended an incident in the Ermine area of Lincoln on Friday evening.

There was a heavy police presence on the estate since around 7pm and several roads were blocked by officers. Ambulances were at the scene as well.

There were multiple police units on the scene, including armed police on Laughton Way and Retief Close, as well as the dog unit.

Officers carried out a number of warrants and searched multiple premises.

Three men have been arrested. Two of them on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm, aged 37 and 31.

The third man, 51, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm. All three men are local to the estate, police said.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed this was in relation to an incident they attended earlier today on Scopwick Place.

This related to gun shots being heard on Thursday evening, as well as two damaged windows.

Scene guards will remain in place into the morning

A negotiator was sent to the scene as a precaution only.

Nobody has been injured, police say.

Scene guards are in place and will remain into the morning as investigations continue.
