Woman wanted for string of offences arrested by police

Mary Jane Jones was found hiding in a Grantham house

A Stamford woman who was wanted for assault, thefts, dangerous dog offences and more has been arrested.

Mary Jane Jones was found hiding in a Grantham house by officers after she failed to attend Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on August 9.

Lincolnshire Police said at the time: “She is wanted in connection with a common assault, being drunk and disorderly, handling stolen goods, shop theft, outraging public decency, a dangerous dog offence, and begging.”

Sergent Dan McCormack broke the news on Twitter: “We have located and arrested this female for all outstanding warrants. She was located hiding in an address in Grantham.”
