It would provide “independent living” space

A former Lincoln warehouse could make way for special needs accommodation, under new plans.

Plans submitted to City of Lincoln Council would see the warehouse on Bargate flattened to make way for six new flats.

Developer ARQ Design said in its plans that the apartments would be designed primarily, but not exclusively, to accommodate special needs to promote “independent living”.

A total of six one-bedroom flats would be built on the site as part of the proposal.

The city council will make a decision on the plans at a later date.
