Video footage has emerged of a police pursuit of a stolen tractor near Corringham.
As previously reported, Superintendent Paul Timmins authorised a static stop after the pursuit of a tractor at around 11.30pm on Thursday, September 5. The tractor was stolen from Osgodby.
Hemswell Cliff Post Office released video footage on Monday showing a police car both in front of and behind the tractor trying to manoeuvre away from the authorities.
A 29-year-old man was later taken into custody, who has since been released under investigation.
Minimal damage was caused to police vehicles and Superintendent Timmins said it “had the potential to cause severe damage and was a risk to life”.
