Cheers! Popular Lincoln bar reopens as the Crafty Imp

Lincoln Tap House & Kitchen closed suddenly earlier this year

A popular Lincoln bar with rooftop cathedral views has reopened as the Crafty Imp – a real ale and craft beer pub.

Lincoln Tap House & Kitchen was rebranded as Crafty Imp Lincoln and owners put the taps back on after a four month closure.

The bar opened on Friday, September 27 after a month-long refurbishment to make the place brighter and put a bigger focus on craft beer.

As previously reported, Lincoln Tap Pubs Ltd ran both Lincoln Tap House & Kitchen as well as The West End Tap but told staff that it would “cease trading immediately.”

Lincoln Tap Pubs Ltd entered into liquidation in July.

The new company behind the bar have stripped back the menu options and now serve more vegan food like falafel bites, nachos, vegan hot dogs as well as brownies for dessert.

Classic meat hot dogs are also available as well as bar snacks like crisps and peanuts.

The reopening has created nine part-time jobs as well as six full-time roles.

Local lad Dan Neale also reopened The West End Tap in August after he was made redundant by Lincoln Tap Pubs Ltd.
