Man arrested after two-year-old pushed to ground during Co-op theft

The incident happened at the store on Carholme Road

A 32-year-old man has been arrested as police investigate reports of a two-year-old child injured during an alleged theft in Lincoln.

As previously reported, the offender entered the Lincolnshire Co-op store on Carholme Road in Lincoln on September 5 and filled a bag with items.

As he was leaving the store the man pushed the child to the ground, causing a minor injury. The man then fled the scene on a bike with the stolen items.

Police previously released a CCTV image on October 15 of a man they wanted to speak regarding the assault and theft incidents.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said on Friday that a 32-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident 135 of September 5.
