Person hospitalised as A46 crash closes road for two hours

The injuries are not believed to be serious

One person was injured after a crash on the A46 Lincoln Bypass on Wednesday morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the two car crash between Bunkers Hill and Nettleham Road, which was reported to Lincolnshire Police at 11.18am on Wednesday, October 23.

The crash involved a grey Skoda Superb and a grey Ford Galaxy.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said one person suffered injuries that are not believed to be serious.

The spokesperson added: “The A158 between Wragby Road and Nettleham Road is closed and will be for approximately two hours while we recover the vehicles.”

A spokesperson for the East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 11.36am on October 23 to the A46 in Lincoln. The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision. We sent an ambulance which is currently still at the scene.”
