Woman accused of causing death of teens in tragic Lincoln crash

Joby John, Aiden Sawyer and Ricky Sharpe lost their lives in the crash

An 18-year-old woman will appear in court accused of causing the deaths of three teenagers in a crash near Lincoln.

Kasey Boulton, of Heath Close in Welton, faces three charges of causing death by dangerous driving after the crash at around 8pm on Monday, March 25.

Three others were injured in the collision on Heath Lane near Welton but escaped without life-changing injuries.

She is understood to have been the driver and will be in Lincoln Magistrates’ Court for the first court hearing on Thursday, December 5.

Over £3,500 has been raised for the funerals of the crash victims – Joby John (14), Aiden Sawyer (17) and Ricky Sharpe (17).

A huge crowd gathered earlier this year to honour the three teenagers with a two minute silence, remembrance music and the releasing of balloons.

Many of the victims’ loved ones also visited the crash to lay flowers, leave messages and pay their respects.

Lincolnshire Police has investigated the crash for several months and has now summoned Kasey Boulton to appear in court.

An inquest into the tragedy on April 8 heard how a Vauxhall Astra lost control and travelled sideways before crashing into a tree.

The exact reason for the loss of control will be the central focus of the investigation process.
