Last orders called at Lincoln Revolution bar tonight

The closing date has been set

Revolution in Lincoln is inviting customers for one last cocktail on Wednesday night before it closes its doors for good.

As previously reported, the Revolution Bars Group was planning to shut two loss-making venues on Park Street in Lincoln and in Fallowfield as it tries to reduce the money it pays on rent.

In an emotional Facebook post on the Lincoln bar said: “We’re really sorry to tell you that we’ll be closing our doors today (Wednesday, January 22). You can still join us for one last cocktail tonight.

“Thanks for all of the crazy nights we’ll never remember and the moments we’ll never forget. If you want to share your best Revs memories, drop them below. Thanks for everything, it’s been amazing. Love, your Revs team.”

In a statement earlier this month, the firm said it had secured rent reductions at venues in Huddersfield, Leicester, Newcastle Under Lyme and Manchester. Unfortunately, this was not the case in Lincoln.

Lincoln’s Revolution bar on Park Street was last refurbished in 2014 when the owners spent £170,000 and hired ten new staff, but it is not known exactly what will happen after tonight’s closure and how many jobs will be lost.
