Pug dog and owner bitten by white staffie in Holbeach

A woman was seriously injured

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pug and its owner were bitten by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the Holbeach area.

A woman in her 50s and her daughter were walking their two pugs in Hallgate, Holbeach, at around 6pm on Monday, January 6 when a Staffordshire Bull Terrier escaped its owner.

The white coloured bull terrier bit one of the pugs and the hand of the woman in her 50s.

The woman’s injury is described as serious but not life threatening.

The Pug has received treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.

Lincolnshire Police are looking to speak with anyone who was in the area as the time of the incident. People can call the non-emergency number 101 and quote reference 96 of January 7.
