Birchwood Post Office service paused for new branch takeover

Post Office services have ceased for three months on Woodfield Avenue, Birchwood while a new SPAR office prepares to take over.

The previous Woodfeild Avenue branch at McColls closed on January 8 due to the resignation of the operator and withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use.

The new branch at SPAR will open on Monday, March 23 at 1pm.

In the interim alternative Post Offices include:

  • Birchwood Post Office, Unit 3 & 4, Jasmin Road, Birchwood, Lincoln, LN6 0Q
  • Skellingthorpe Post Office, Lincoln Co-op, 2 Jerusalem Road, Skellingthorpe, LN6 5UL

When Woodfield Avenue Post Office re-opens the planned opening hours are Monday to Saturday: 7am – 10pm; Sunday: 8am – 10pm offering 104 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers.

This new location is 20 metres away from the previous branch.

The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move.
