Five more coronavirus deaths in Lincolnshire in a day

Six COVID-19 Lincolnshire deaths in 48 hours

A total of six people died after contracting coronavirus in Greater Lincolnshire.

The first patient died on Thursday at Boston Pilgrim Hospital, a woman in her 80s with underlying health conditions, and the death was announced on Friday.

On Saturday a further five COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Greater Lincolnshire during Friday, March 27.

Three United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT) patients died, but no specific locations were made available.

“The patients were all women between the ages of 65 and 80 and all had underlying health conditions,” ULHT said in a statement.

“Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”

A further two people died in the care of Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust hospitals (Grimsby and Scunthorpe).

As for Saturday morning there were 50 COVID-19 cases in Greater Lincolnshire: 39 in Lincolnshire, 6 in North Lincolnshire and 5 in North East Lincolnshire.
