Lincoln Cathedral turns blue as Lincolnshire pays tribute to NHS

Big love for the NHS tonight

By Local Democracy Reporter

Lincolnshire saluted the work of our NHS during the coronavirus pandemic this evening.

Lincoln’s iconic cathedral lit up in the blue colours of the health service, while the public created a chorus of applause from their homes and streets to honour key workers.

The decision was made by the cathedral in an announcement on Monday, March 23 to demonstrate the solidarity of the nation during these tough times.

This occurred while the general public ‘clapped for our carers’ from doorsteps and balconies, following a viral trend that had been shared on social media.
