Lincoln City games suspended over coronavirus spread

Scunthorpe and Grimsby Town will also be affected

Lincoln City FC will not be able to play any of their upcoming games as the coronavirus pandemic spreads.

The English Football League met on Friday morning and are understood to have made the decision to suspend all matches.

As a result, all games in the Championship, League One, and League Two will not be able to go ahead.

The suspension will last until at least the weekend of April 4.

The Imps were due to travel to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, but the club has not yet commented on the news.

Scunthorpe and Grimsby Town will also have their games suspended until further notice.

An EFL Spokesman said: “The EFL Board will meet this morning to make a decision on this weekend’s fixtures and beyond.”
