Blue Lincoln Cathedral prints raise £2k for mental health charity

They’re flying off the shelf

By Local Democracy Reporter

Over £2,000 has been raised for an NHS mental health charity through the sale of canvas prints of Lincoln Cathedral.

The pictures depict the cathedral in the famous blue colours of the NHS to honour key workers during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Over 400 of these canvases have already been sold, with that number constantly on the rise.

Andrew Scott, information governance lead for local mental health and learning disability as part of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation trust, is the man behind the pictures.

“I wanted to help support the trust during these difficult times, but couldn’t put myself forward to help on the front line as my wife and eldest daughter are vulnerable due to chronic asthma.

“I decided the next best thing would be to raise funds to help frontline staff wherever possible.

“I teamed up with a friend of mine, local printer Karl Abbott from PinPoint Media in Lincoln, to create charity canvases we could sell and donate profits to NHS trusts.”

The prints are available to purchase at £25 each here.
