Body believed to be missing Anglian Water worker found in woodland

The death is being treated as non-suspicious

A body believed to be that of an Anglian Water worker, who was missing for over nine months, has been found in woodland near Peterborough.

Michael Smith, 53, also known as Mick, was last seen in the Etton area of Peterborough at around 11.30am on June 11, prompting a police appeal.

Although he is based predominantly in the Peterborough and Cambridgeshire area, some of his work may have bordered Lincolnshire.

A body was discovered by a person in woodland between Glinton and Northborough at 1pm on April 6. Cambridgeshire Police said the body is believed to be that of Michael Smith.

Police added that the death is being treated as non-suspicious and will be passed to the coroner.
