How much has your council been given to tackle Coronavirus pressures?

Greater Lincolnshire councils have been given more than £32 million to help them respond to coronavirus pressures on the services they provide.

The Government has released a list of how much each authority was given of a £1.6billion spending pot announced in March.

Lincolnshire County Council has been given more than £21 million for its pot, while North  Lincolnshire was given nearly £5 million and North East Lincolnshire just over £5.2 million.

Of the districts, East Lindsey District Council has so far received the highest grant of £108,330, while Boston Borough Council sits at the bottom with a cool £47,604.

When the funding was announced, Local Government Secretary Robert Jenrick said: “The work of local authorities to deliver social care and other vital public services has never been more important than it is now – and will be – in the days and weeks ahead.

“That’s why we’re giving local councils £1.6 billion of additional funding to spend where it’s needed most, to ensure they can meet the cost of the increased demand for social care, and continue to protect the most vulnerable people in society.”

  • Lincolnshire County Council – £21,469,119
  • East Lindsey District Council – £108,330
  • Boston Borough Council – £47,604
  • South Holland District Council – £58,924
  • South Kesteven District Council – £64,622
  • North Kesteven District Council – £54,838
  • City of Lincoln Council – £67,175
  • West Lindsey District Council – £53,235
  • North Lincolnshire – £4,991,190
  • North East Lincolnshire – £5,215,565
  • Grand Total: £32,130,602
