Lincolnshire recycling centres to accept more types of waste

More recyclable waste accepted at tips next week

By Local Democracy Reporter

Tips in Lincolnshire will open for more types of recyclable waste as of next week.

From Monday, May 25, household waste recycling centres will be able accept more waste.

Cardboard and glass will now be accepted at tips along with garden waste and wood.

In further plans put in place by Lincolnshire county council, as of Monday, June 1 you will also be able to bring electricals, scrap metal and black bagged residual waste.

Councillor Eddy Poll, executive councillor for waste and recycling at the council, said: “Residents had been in touch asking to bring extra items to the sites, so we’ve worked hard over the past week to make this possible.”

As The Lincolnite previously reported, sites will still require time slot bookings via the council website or by calling 01522 782070.
